Did you know that Southeastern Guide Dogs breeds, raises, and trains some of the finest guide dogs in the world? A guide dog makes all the difference in the world to a visually impaired person. Just imagine if you or I couldn't leave the house without help! A dog means freedom, independence, and companionship.
As volunteer puppy raisers, we've opened our hearts and homes to
guide dog puppies. After being socialized and learning obedience and basic commands, our puppies return to the school for intensive harness training. It's truly a rewarding job for an outstanding organization.
When we learned that Southeastern Guide Dogs relies 100% on private donations, receives no government funding, and doesn't charge their students a dime for their services – we decided to participate in their biggest fundraiser of the year: the Walkathon.
Won't you join us in supporting Southeastern Guide Dogs in their mission to raise and train these puppies, and provide such a priceless service to the visually impaired? We've set an ambitious Walkathon fundraising goal, and your help means a lot to us – and to the students whose lives are changed forever because of these incredible dogs.
